Students can receive up to 4 points by reading one of the following books and writing a 700-word blog post that analyzes the factual accuracy (or potential for accuracy) of the book and the connections that can be made to social media as it is developing. As Mary Walker wrote on Anthro Goggles,  “the continued mainstreaming of social media has resulted a fountain of speculation about the future of social networking, always-on connectivity and the increasingly ubiquitous internet.”
