Facebook can be delightful until someone tells you they’re brushing their teeth, or having blueberries for breakfast, or write something completely offensive (so much for free speech—by the way, I do believe in it). Facebook helped me reconnect with some old high school friends and I liked that. It’s also a good way to share links and videos that I enjoy. I wonder sometimes if it’s wise for my young friends to post risqué photos of themselves, but that’s none of my business (free speech, again). It’s a tool and a very useful one.
I’m still not clear on my strategy—I know content is very important. How do I keep the fresh creative content flowing so that it’s worthy of a following and fans. I thought perhaps we could post funny 1-min video vignettes weekly or monthly. It’s difficult to think in that big picture when I’m still struggling with privacy buttons. More research and more time will definitely help.
Though I have had a facebook account for a while, I’ve not really used it that much. I didn’t even know about the friend’s list function. Here’s what my list looks like:
I didn’t know about the username function either. It took me a while to sort out all those privacy buttons to make it work. Ta, ta, here it is… the link to my Facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/chieneiyu

Here’s the Facebook event link: http://www.facebook.com/chieneiyu?v=app_2344061033&ref=profile
I created a fan page for my lead actor in an upcoming feature. Here’s the link: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Mark-S-Barnett/354540099131
And here’s the twitter screenshot promoting the page:

This turned out to be more complicated than I expected, but I’m happy to learn it (now that I’m past the frustration). I’m sure it could be more elegant. Please let me know if you have any pointers. Am I doing this right? Thank you
