This course is 100% online , it is a 3-unit course, and it is taken over the period of 16 weeks. It is not a self-paced course and students should schedule work accordingly. Students should plan on spending up to 5-6 hours per week on the class learning the material provided by the instructor and by completing the associated assignments.

Late Assignments and Incompletes

I will accept late assignments up to 5 days late, but the assignment will get an automatic reduction of 10% per day (includes weekends and holidays) of available points. I will not accept any assignment more than five (5) days after the due date. Unless otherwise stated on the assignment posted, an assignment is due by 8:00 a.m. PST on Wednesday. You are permitted one no-penalty extension of one week on one assignment during the semester if it is requested prior to the due date for the assignment. Procrastination and late work will severely hurt your grade in this class. Many assignments build on previous assignments, so you cannot skip an assignment.

No final project will be accepted after Wednesday, May 19, 2009 at 8:00 a.m. PST. If you have an illness (medical certificate supplied) or a family tragedy, please contact the instructor.

Grading Scale

The total points available in this course is 100 points and a grade will be assignment based on the following scale.

A = 90 -  100
B = 80 -  89
C = 70 – 79
D = 60 – 69
F = 0 – 59
